CHICAGO, IL – Allsteel Inc. celebrates two Best of NeoCon® Gold award wins for the Create system and the Square Foot Budgeting Calculator as announced today at NeoCon 2013. Allsteel stood out among 375 entries in 40 product and furnishing categories in this annual competition sponsored by Contract magazine, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and McMorrow Report.com Facilities Management E-Media.

“The definition of ‘work’ continues to evolve at a rapid pace and both of the Allsteel winning Best of NeoCon entries support the workspaces of today and evolution to tomorrow,” said Lynda Whittle, vice president of marketing at Allsteel. “We’re honored to be recognized for our efforts in developing offerings and resources that each contribute to design of innovative, functional and equally aesthetic spaces.”

Create, an agile furniture system that includes surfaces, supports, screens and storage that can be configured to form a wide variety of work environments, was presented with the Gold award in the furniture system category. Create’s unique trapezoidal-shaped work surfaces offer an alternative approach to 120-degree planning. Whether designers are looking for configurations like a linear bench or other organic work settings, Create has a solution to fit all work spaces and styles, opening the door to free thinking, planning and inspiration.

In the software technologies category, Allsteel was awarded Best of NeoCon Gold for the Square Foot Budgeting Calculator. The Square Foot Budgeting Calculator provides users with a preliminary furniture-pricing estimate on a square footage basis, helping our customers determine initial budget and space needs earlier in the furniture planning process.
