sia Abrasives expands its series 6120 siafleece siafast discs with the addition of new medium-grade black silicon carbide material.  Stocked in standard 5” and 6” disc sizes, the material is available in custom sizes made to order with longer lead times, says the company. Applications include removing weld discoloration on stainless steel, general surface cleaning and light oxide removal.  As a series, says sia, the 6120 siafleece siafast discs are ideal for finishing and scuffing with minimal stock removal and are designed for general purpose surface preparation on a variety of surfaces including: wood, composites, metal and gel coats.  The 6120 siafleece features grit impregnated throughout the entire structure, adds sia, which provides a consistent scratch pattern while extending the life of the material. It can be used moist or dry.
