Stealth Kitchen Concealed in Wall of CabinetsThe Stealth Kitchen from Yestertec Design Co., Center Valley, PA, conceals kitchen storage areas and appliances within a wall of cabinetry.

"In as little as six linear feet, Stealth Kitchen incorporates all the necessities of a high-end, modern kitchen -- refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, cooktop, sink, counter space and abundant storage."

Stealth Kitchens were developed by David Beer of YesterTec, who got started in 1997 when he  introduced the concept of Kitchen Workstation Furniture (the English call it "Unfitted Kitchen Furniture") as an alternative to designing kitchens with built-in cabinetry and continuous countertops.

In 2008 Yestertec developed its Stealth Kitchen Modules line that can completely conceal all of the features of a complete kitchen from view.

"We created this line initially as a tool for architects to use to create extremely minimalist, multi-functional environments for loft and urban condo projects," says Beer. "Since then, we have realized that these kitchens can even be appropriate for the ultimate period design, by simply disappearing into the wallscape." The line is sold at Resource Furniture in New York and Los Angeles.
