SAN DIEGO - A panel of experts discusses changing consumer preference for the demand and use of particleboard and MDF in furniture during the Spring Composite Panel Association meeting held May 5-7 in San Diego, CA.
Participating on the panel were (in speaking order): Bernard Fuller, president, Cambridge Forest Products Associates; Cormac O’Carroll, director/Global Wood Practice, Poyry Management Consulting (UK); Urs Buehlmann, associate professor, Department of Sustainable Biomaterials, Virginia Tech; and Greg Lewis, vice president of Wood Panels, Forest Economic Advisors LLC. The panel was moderated by Kelly Shotbolt, vice chairman of the CPA and president of Flakeboard.
