SAN DIEGO/ORANGE COUNTY – Green Edge Technologies, creators of EDGEhome, has announced an agreement with Irvine, Calif.-based TRI Pointe Homes to offer EDGEhome, the most advanced home intelligence system available, in four of the builder’s new communities in Southern California.

The system is comprised of wireless devices, a tablet, and mobile applications that allow homeowners to conveniently monitor and control electrical usage and lighting throughout their home. The wireless devices are installed in every junction box and behind every switch and outlet in a home, providing ubiquitous coverage.

TRI Pointe Homes, with building operations in California and Colorado, will offer EDGEhome as an option for homebuyers in several of its new communities in Southern California including — Woodson in Playa Vista, Alegre and Aldea at Paseo Del Sol in Temecula and Messina at Orchard Hills in Irvine. Woodson will offer single-family detached homes ranging from 2,108 to 2,294 square feet and starting in the low $1 millions, Alegre at Paseo Del Sol will offer motorcourt townhomes measuring approximately 1,519 to 1,734 square feet in the high $200,000s, Aldea at Paseo Del Sol will comprise of townhomes ranging from approximately 1,218 to 1,552 square feet in the mid $200,000s, and Messina at Orchard Hills will offer single-family detached luxury homes starting in the $1 millions.

For homebuilders, EDGEhome system’s innovative technology enables them to significantly reduce electrical wiring and labor costs at installation, allowing them to realize substantial savings in construction costs.
