A co-owner of a North Carolina furniture manufacturing business has been charged with second-degree murder following a deadly shooting Wednesday afternoon at the Old Hickory Tannery, in Newton, North Carolina, police said.

He had been receiving treatment at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
