New Color Mix System Saves Labor for Olympic KitchensTORONTO -- Olympic Kitchens, one of the largest kitchen cabinet manufacturers in the Greater Toronto area in Ontario, Canada, offers custom finished kitchens with catalyzed materials.

The company currently uses 2k primer, colors, lacquer and a 1k sealer. When the company discovered that its 2k materials were not being manually mixed properly it consulted with EXEL North America for ideas.

New Color Mix System Saves Labor for Olympic KitchensEXEL North America suggested a system that would enable Olympic Kitchens to have a more precise control in mixing fresh 2k material when needed and deliver timed flushing sequences and volume control. The new Kremlin Rexson equipment installed includes:

  •  Cyclomix Micro PH 3 + 1
  • 5 + 1 Color kit
  • (1) 20-25F PH for the catalyst
  • (2) 16-120F Kremlin Rexson Pumps
  • (2) 5 gallon Agitators with lids
  • (3) 55 gallon Agitators with lids
  • (1) 15-25 EOS Pump for solvent
  • Airmix regulators and filters for outbound pressures

New Color Mix System Saves Labor for Olympic KitchensOlympic Kitchens successfully cut labor and production time by eliminating the need to re-paint or touch up because the material is now properly catalyzed. The dedicated pumps for the (5) 2k colors deliver a quicker color change with increased productivity.

Olympic Kitchens was one of five bus stops on an October 26 technology tour organized by CNC Automation the day before the opening of the Woodworking Machiniery & Supply Expo in Toronto.
