American Manufacturers Supply acquires 140,000 sq ft Babcock Lumber plant

HAYLEYVILLE, Ala. - Decorative wood products manufacturer American Manufacturers Supply, Inc., parent of the Castlewood line of Fine Carved Wood Decoration, says it acquired the former Babcock Lumber manufacturing facility in Haleyville, Alabama.  
 
Built in 1996 and consisting of 140,000 square feet on 50 acres, the complex's primary building includes 8 shipping bays, 2 dry kilns, integrated dust collection system, offices, showroom, quality control lab, and extensive manufacturing and warehouse space.
 
“This acquisition will serve as the permanent home to the AMS corporate offices and give the company room to expand both our import and manufacturing operations”, says company President Blake Harmon. “The company has grown significantly since launching our hardwood range hood line in 2013 and we are fortunate to be able to move into this fine facility”. “We look forward to growing our brand and bringing our clients the best combination of quality, service and value”.
