January is Get Organized Month‏

Wayne, PA – January is Get Organized (GO) MonthSM, and HeartWork Organizing, LLC, a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the national public awareness initiative by hosting the blog series: 31 Days of 30 Minute Organizing Projects to help individuals start the new year off right by getting organized.

For the past decade, NAPO has promoted GO Month each January to coincide with the common New Year’s resolution to get organized. During GO Month, NAPO professional organizers and productivity specialists across the country host events in their communities to empower individuals, families, businesses and organizations to regain control over their surroundings, time and possessions. By sharing proven organizing and productivity techniques and principles, NAPO members help people save time, save money and reduce stress.

In addition to the several public seminars and classes she’s conducting this month, HeartWork Organizing, LLC owner, Darla DeMorrow, continues to bring organizing tips, techniques, and motivation to the area. This free blog series, available for free, will focus on topics like organizing individual spaces like closets and counter tops, papers, finances, photos, and more.

“By outlining projects that can take less than 30 minutes each day, we’re helping people accomplish things they have been meaning to do, but thought would take longer. Following along each day, actually getting a meaningful task done each day, people will be building a new organizing habit and building momentum for the rest of the year,” says DeMorrow.

DeMorrow will also be presenting at these public events this month:

Friday, January 10, 7-9 pm, Greater Philadelphia Spring Home Show at the Valley Forge Casino Resort. Bring pictures of your organizing projects, and receive a real-time consultation.

Saturday, January 11, 10 am, Life Hack- Organizing with a whole new bag of tricks at the Chester County Public Library (Exton Mall)

Monday, January 13, 7 pm, A Dozen Ways to Clear the Clutter in 2014 at the Upper Merion Public Library

Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 7 pm: Clutter Control at the Upper Dublin Public Library
