HomeAdvisor Launched Instant Booking Scheduling at KBIS 2015

LAS VEGAS - HomeAdvisor — a local services home improvement marketplace that has helped over 30 million homeowners connect to pre-screened home professionals — is rolling out a new on-demand scheduling technology, Instant Booking. Instant Booking allows homeowners to instantly connect and schedule services with pre-screened home professionals online, as well as see pricing for jobs prior to booking. The Instant Booking platform will launch in Denver in February with plans to be released in additional cities over the coming months. Like all HomeAdvisor offerings, Instant Booking is free for homeowners and will be available on desktop, mobile web and the HomeAdvisor iOS and Android apps by summer.

“Our research tells us that easily scheduling an appointment is a challenge for homeowners as well as service professionals,” said HomeAdvisor’s CEO Chris Terrill. “Our goal is to reduce that friction by providing an end-to-end solution for both parties that facilitates scheduling and pricing transparency.”

HomeAdvisor’s local services home improvement marketplace provides several options for homeowners to easily find and connect with qualified home repair and improvement professionals:

ProFinder: Homeowners can be matched with professionals through HomeAdvisor’s patented ProFinder technology, which has helped more than 30 million homeowners over the past 15 years connect with pre-screened local home service professionals.

Instant Connect: Homeowners can choose to be connected instantly via phone to their matched professional. Launched in late 2014, this service is free and is available nation-wide for over 500 home repair and improvement projects. In a pilot test, over a third of HomeAdvisor’s homeowners chose to use this technology to instantly be connected with service professionals.

Instant Booking: Homeowners will be able use HomeAdvisor’s on-demand scheduling tool to schedule appointments and view pricing for over 500 home repair and improvement projects with HomeAdvisor’s network of more than 80,000 screened and approved service professionals. The Instant Booking platform will launch in Denver in February and will be released in additional cities over the coming months. This unique on-demand platform makes scheduling an appointment easier for homeowners and professionals.

“Ordering a car service on-demand is considerably easier than scheduling a screened service pro to come your home,” Terrill continued. “Our sophisticated algorithms and longevity in the local home service space give us a huge edge in bringing the ease and convenience of ‘on-demand’ services to the home space.”

All professionals in HomeAdvisor’s network undergo a criminal and financial background check and are customer-rated and reviewed. HomeAdvisor’s dedicated Customer Solutions’ team backs homeowners if there are problems with a HomeAdvisor professional. All HomeAdvisor offerings are free to homeowners.
