MARIETTA, GA - Amy Snell has been named the executive director of the Wood Component Manufacturers Association. She takes over the position from Steve Lawser, who retired at the end of 2012 after 30 years of service.

Snell's new roll begins April 8. She has a background in  association management and recently served as executive director for the Organization for Human Brain Mapping and also the American Neurological Association. She was also the training and education project coordinator with Medtronic Inc.

In conjunction with the new leadership position, the WCMA also announced that the relocation of its office to Lindstrom, Minnesota; the transition is expected to take two to three months. The WCMA said Administrative Assistant Kathy Lawser will assist during the transition before retiring the end of June.
