FSC Basketball Court Takes Center Stage at NCAA Final FourATLANTA - The University of Michigan Wolverines men’s basketball team could have a home court advantage this weekend as it gets set to play in the NCAA Final Four on a court made by Connor Sport Court International.

Connor Sports manufactured the FSC-certified hard maple floor at its facility in Amasa, MI. Connor has produced the basketball court flooring for both the men’s and women’s Final Four for the past eight years.

FSC Basketball Court Takes Center Stage at NCAA Final FourAccording to the Salt Lake City, UT-based company, the flooring was manufactured at its plant in Northern Michigan from rough, first grade maple purchased from Timber Products Co. in Munising, MI. The court was constructed and inspected, then disassembled and transported to Praters Athletic Flooring in Chatanooga, TN, for finishing. It was then disassembled again and transported by truck to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta for installation on Friday.

Connor and Praters also provided the manufacturing and finishing for the Final Four court at the women’s basketball tournament in New Orleans. According to information from Connor, the men’s court is 70 feet by 140 feet and totals 9,800 square feet; the court for the women’s tournament is 60 feet by 120 feet and totals 7,200 square feet.
