BANGALORE, INDIA  - Kewaunee Scientific won a $13 million turnkey laboratory infrastructure contract for the new Shell Technology Centre in Bangalore, India.

Kewaunee Scientific Wins $13 Million Casework Deal in India  Under the contract, Kewaunee Scientific will provide laboratory casework, fume hoods, high purity gas systems, vacuum systems, exhaust systems, scrubbers, VAV systems and other furnishings on a turnkey basis necessary to complete the research laboratories.

The company established a presence in India in 2000 with Kewaunee India. The major laboratory furniture company has local capabilities for lab construction projects, from design, product manufacturing, project management, and final commissioning of the laboratory space. Kewaunee has worked on more than 1,000 laboratories in India since its inception.

Shell's new center will expand its Bangalore facility to 1,500 technology specialists and is expected to be operational by the end of calendar year 2015.

Kewaunee Scientific, headquartered in Statesville, NC, already has three manufacturing facilities serving domestic and international markets, and announced that it will open a major operation to build research laboratories in Suzhou, China by August 2014.

Kewaunee is the largest custom architectural woodworking company listed in the Wood Industry Almanac 2014.
