Compact panel saw

VTM's Fimal concept 350 is a compact panel saw engineered for small to mid-sized shops and occupies the same footprint as a sliding table saw. While chip-free, the panel saw sizes panels accurately, and with the standard electronically controlled blade tilt, a bevel cut of up to 46 degrees is possible. It features a single blade scoring function with the 300-350 mm blade being completely enclosed during the cutting cycle.

Panel saw assistance system

Stiles Machinery's intelliGuide panel saw operator assistance system is available in three versions and responds to the operator's movements in real time and visually guides them through the use of an LED light strip or laser technology projected directly onto the workpieces. With the full version, intelliGuide Professional, a camera system on top of the machine enables it to detect which workpiece is being inserted into the machine and how it is positioned prior to operation. If the operator makes a mistake, the system responds by adjusting the saw’s actions or informing the operator of the appropriate steps to correct the error.

Compact hold-down device

Benz's new Compact Hold Down device provides additional downforce in nesting operations, preventing the movement of small pieces; a non-marring tracing shoe travels over parts with just enough force to hold them down without movement. Benz says the compact size accommodates the limited Z stroke in most nesting machines.
