CWB & CLOSETS to Converge; New Woodworking Event to Emerge

Vance Publishing Corp. announced during the International Woodworking Fair that Custom Woodworking Business (CWB) and CLOSETS magazines will merge into a unique separately bound publication allowing each brand to maintain its identity while boosting overall circulation.

This announcement follows an earlier one that CWB and CLOSETS would be joining forces to produce the all-new Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, Feb. 27-March 1, 2013 at the New Jersey Exposition & Convention Center in Edison, NJ.

The first co-joined issue of CWB and CLOSETS will be released this November. The dual-cover issue will feature covers of both magazine titles. CWB will open on one side; when the issue is flipped 180 degrees, readers will be able to navigate the pages of CLOSETS. The total circulation of CWB/CLOSETS will be 47,000, the most of any B2B publication serving the custom wood interiors market.

The new Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, the “Total Storage Solutions” event, will build on the inherent similarities and synergies of the dynamic closet and custom cabinet markets, while also paying homage to the distinctive differences that make each of them unique. The event will also capitalize on custom cabinet companies that are crossing over to win closet business and vice versa.

The state-of-the-art New Jersey Convention & Exposition Center is located within driving distance of New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and other major metropolitan hubs. The Northeast boasts the highest concentration of readers of CLOSETS, Custom Woodworking Business and Wood & Wood Products magazines.

The first day of the CCCE, Wednesday, Feb. 27, will be devoted to executive-level conferences for owners and managers of cabinet, closet, garage and other home storage products.

The two-day Cabinets & Closets Expo follows on Thursday, Feb. 28, and Friday, March 1. It will feature woodworking machinery and CAD-CAM software, plus decorative and functional hardware, components, laminated panels and other products used by manufacturers and installers of custom cabinets, closets and other storage products.
