HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. - The Irwin Tools National Tradesmen Day Road Show and Lenox Cut Above Nationwide Tour and will kick off in Upstate New York and are expected to log more than 35,000 miles and host 205 hands-on events at Lowe’s retail locations from Aug. 14 through Oct. 27.

Set for Sept. 15, 2017, National Trademan Day was established seven years ago by Irwin to thank and recognize various trade professionals. The Road Show promotes and celebrates this day with events that will feature product giveaways, product demostrations, and recent innovations in Irwin hand tools and power tool accessories.

"The role skilled tradesmen play in our daily lives is paramount and we’re committed to raising awareness of what they do for families and communities," said Lee McChesney, president, hand tools, accessories and storage at Stanley Black & Decker. "Our tour across the U.S. is an opportunity to celebrate their expertise, showcase our latest innovations, and learn how we can [continue to] help tradesmen."

For the second year of the Lenox Cut Above Nationwide Tour, events will feature a limited number of product giveaways, metal cutting demonstrations, and new, innovative products.

Stanley Black & Decker, who purchased Irwin and Lenox in March 2017, has partnered with Mercedes-Benz Vans for the events to provide onsite test drives of the Mercedes-Benz Metris cargo and Sprinter work vans.

In addition, by visiting a participating Lowe’s location during the events, individuals may participate in a Mercedes-Benz sponsored sweepstakes planned to begin on Aug. 14, and end on Oct. 27. Lenox and Lowe’s will not be sponsors or in any way responsible for the administration the contest.
