Furniture Maker Debuts Custom Wall SystemNEW YORK CITY -- Furniture maker Get Back Inc. debuted a customizable Wall System as part of its Dept. 87 furniture collection in Sept. at the New York Design Center’s 2012 What’s New What Next show.

Get Back founder and designer Tim Byrnes creates vintage industrial furniture using pieces from the Industrial Revolution era. The Dept 87 collection is a line of new furniture and the latest piece, the customizable Wall System, has adjustable options and accessories such as shelves, desk surfaces, cabinets, dresser drawers, clothing racks and a bar cabinet.  It can also transform to a closet, entertainment system, storage center and more.

“When I was designing the Wall System, one of the first considerations I took into account was that it had to have an adjustable mounting mechanism. So many of our customers put our pieces into unique spaces,” Byrne says. “And when you’re dealing with unique spaces, it’s often hard to find a level wall or a square corner. So I designed the Wall System to be able to fit nicely into any space and easily adjustable to level or square in any application, even radiators or pipes aren’t an issue."

As part of his exhibit at the What’s New What Next design show, Byrnes showcased a 3-D animated video, created by Imagimind Studios, of his designs.
