Metrie, North America’s largest manufacturer and distributor of millwork solutions, has appointed Chris Fearn as vice president, transformation. In this role, he will lead the transformation management office (TMO), sit on the Metrie Executive Leadership Team, and report directly to CEO, Kent Bowie.

ATHENS, Ga. — Forisk Consulting recently released its annual list of Top 10 North American and U.S. Lumber Producers in 2025. Forisk distills the list from tracking more than 2,300 forest industry mills, including planned capacity changes.

As part of the company’s decision to expand in Illinois, it will invest $50 million to relocate its operations – currently in Canada and Aurora, Illinois – to Montgomery, Illinois, as it increases capacity and creates 110 new full-time jobs.

The new lines are fully automated and supported by the newest manufacturing technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI) to boost productivity and optimization of processes.
