Axalta says Zenamel SP consolidates a conventional three-coating finishing system into a single coating, offering the filling properties of a primer while also providing the moisture and chemical resistance of an enamel, without the need for a clear coat layer. With Zenamel T, only one coat of primer and enamel is needed compared to the standard four coats of competing solutions.

Grizzly says its high-performance G0967 20-inch variable-speed disc sander features an extra-large sanding disc and variable speed functionality, ranging from slower speeds for precise metal sanding to higher speeds for efficient wood processing. Utilizing orbital sanding technology instead of belts and flap wheels, the Stolbek edgesander goes through a progression of three sanding grits and gives edges the same finish that all the surfaces get. The company claims, “You will never see an MDF edge like this.” With a footprint of only 3x8 feet, the machine can sand all four edges of a panel in about 30 seconds.

Stolbek Machines based in Canada introduces Cosmo, an affordable robotic sanding system for doors. The company asserts the unit is the "only robotic sander on the market that can sand edges, break corners and handle any type of cabinet door you throw at it." Designed to be a true single-piece flow lean machine, Cosmo doubles the speed of existing sanding operations, and transfers 80% of the sanding off people, according to the company. The machine is designed to require no special programming.

Dynabrade offers a new raised panel sanding pad for use with the Dynafine Detail Sander. This new sanding pad has a rectangular shape (4-in. x 3/4-in.) with angled edges and is ideal for sanding into tight corners and on raised edges of panels, as well as other woodworking applications. It features a premium urethane medium density hook face pad, 1/2-in. thick, which accepts both coated abrasive and non-woven nylon sheets.
