DMT Holdings--General and Excalibur expands team

DMT Holdings, Inc. has expanded its team by adding industry veterans to leadership positions.

John Otto, a managing member at CPG Worldwide, LLC, has assumed the role of DMT’s Commercial Products Group vice president of sales and marketing.

Mike Helwich, the national sales manager at Bartica Group, is now the Eastern Regional sales manager of Commercial Products for DMT Holdings, the company that owns General, General International & Excalibur. In addition, General has hired several independent rep agencies from the former team of JET/Powermatic.

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, Otto brings to DMT Holdings more than 25 years of experience in the tool and woodworking industries. Since beginning his career as a general merchandise manager with LWI Holdings, where he managed a $7.5 million woodworking accessories catalog business, Otto has held senior product management and V-P-level sales and marketing positions for various international tool companies.

Mike Helwich

With more than 20 years as a sales leader in the tool, woodworking and industrial sectors, Helwich has surpassed sales and margin goals and built long-lasting customer relationships through partnerships with distributors. His career has included more than a decade as the Director of Sales for WMHTool Group, the manufacturing company that owned the Wilton, JET and Powermatic brands. Most recently, he served as the National Sales Manager for Bartica Group, where he established a national force of independent sales representatives and was responsible for the company’s overall sales goals, planning and implementation. Helwich is based in Pasadena, Maryland.
