De Gaspé's Allen counter is designed for office collaborations.

MONTREAL – De Gaspé, a custom furniture maker, introduced conference tables and other collaborative furniture for corporate and educational environments.

The company said it “focused on creating furniture adapted to post-pandemic work, with a full range of products that promote collaboration, informal meetings, brainstorming, etc.”

The launch includes four new conference tables: Okun, Nelson, Aoki, and Allais. Size, type of wood, the color of metals, and power outlets are among “personalization” offered, De Gaspe said.

For example, the Okun table Okun conference table, designed by Olivier Charlebois and Isabelle Vo, has a tubular steel base and wooden top in the customer’s choice of birch plywood, yellow birch, white oak, or black traceless laminate. The tops are available in six sizes ranging from 36 inches by 72 inches to 60 inches by 190 inches.

De Gaspé also introduced collaborative furniture including counters, flip-top tables, and cubes. All of these products are designed for use in common areas as required.

De Gaspé manufactures its products at its plant in Montreal and said it is driven by a “strong mandate of locally made and consumed. Through its partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, the company pledges to plant 100 trees for every piece of furniture sold on its website.
