WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Popular FDMC columnist Gene Wengert, aka “The Wood Doctor,” will make a house call during the Wood Pro Conference.

Wengert, a renowned expert on all things wood, will present, The Wood Doctor is in, on June 8 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. He will offer his prescriptions for resolving some of the industry’s most common, costly, and yet preventable wood problems. This includes issues such as open glue joints, blotchy finishes, and low lumber yield to name a few.

Wengert also plans to address the added stress the coronavirus pandemic has had on the lumber market, including erratic supplies, price spikes and impact on just-in-time inventories.

The Wood Pro track is co-sponsored by the Cabinet Makers Association and FDMC magazine. It follows a joint-keynote presentation by Rich Harshaw, CEO of Level 10 Contractor, to attendees of the Closets and Wood Pro conference tracks beginning at 8 a.m.
