In an recent Twitter poll, the WoodworkingNetwork.com, asked a simple question:  Managers, if you had a choice between a skilled worker who was reliable and quick on their feet, or a shiny new piece of equipment, would you choose the hard-to-come-by skilled worker or the shiny new woodworking machine?   While respondents were small, the numbers were telling. With nearly 8 of 10 respondents responding that they would prefer a skilled worker over a new machine.
