What did the kitchen of the future look like in the 1950s?

Producers of two different promotional films from the era dared to gaze into their crystal ball to provide answers.

Leading off is "Design for Dreaming," the a look at 'tomorrow's' Frigidaire kitchen prdouced by General Motors for the 1956 Motorama.

The second video is excerpted from Monsato's 1957 film, "House of the Future," located in Disneyland's Tomorrowland.

Whereas the first video shows off high-tech gadgetry; the second promote better living through plastic.
