WCA-EDU Midwest Region Fall In-service

On Friday, October 25th, Madison College will host a teacher in-service and WCA Evaluator training session. The event is co-sponsored by the Wisconsin AWI Chapter. The in-service will focus on Machine Maintenance in the morning, and includes lunch. Afternoon options include a tour of Forest Products Lab or the opportunity to participate in Evaluator Training (see note below).

All wood technology teachers and AWI members are invited. The in-service is free for WCA Education and AWI-WI members. For non-members, the fee is $45 (Checks payable to WCA). 9:00 a.m. - Introductions

9:15 – WCA Education membership overview, Patrick Molzahn

9:30 a.m. – Common Machine Maintenance Issues, Dave Eubanks, Independent Machine Service & Repair, LLC

11:00 a.m. – Implementing a Maintenance Program, Patrick Molzahn

12:00 - Lunch catered compliments of Wisconsin AWI-WI and WCA

12:45 p.m. - Tour of Forest Products Lab for those not participating in Evaluator Training 3 p.m. - adjourn from Forest Products Lab <or>

1:00-5:00 p.m. – WCA Evaluator Training for those pre-registered (see below)

A limited number of seats are available for individuals interested in becoming WCA Skill Evaluators. The training will run from 1:00-5:00. Schools must be enrolled as EDU members before a training spot will be reserved.
