About the Event:
Post-Frame Advantage (PFA) announced it is headed to the 2014 Oregon Wood Solutions Fair. Hosted by WoodWorks, a foundation with the focus in providing free project assistance and resources related to the design of non-residential and multi-family wood buildings, this is sure to be a can’t miss event.
Created by the National Frame Building Association, PFA was formed to help educate the design, code, and engineering community on the advantages of post-frame construction for low-rise, commercial buildings. And on October 23, 2014, PFA will take the floor with two educational seminars and a booth to do exactly that.
Starting at 8 a.m., attendees are set for an all-day educational affair catered to the use of wood in non-residential and multi-family buildings. Post-Frame Advantage is proudly presenting two seminars, both of which will be run by renowned professor Dr. Harvey Manbeck, P.E. The morning course will explore architectural alternatives for post-frame building systems, while the afternoon course will provide an introduction to the structural design of post-frame buildings.
This seminar and trade exposition is completely FREE. This includes a complimentary lunch, and is the perfect event for designers, architects, code officials, engineers, and developers alike. As an added bonus, attendees can also earn up to 6 AIA/CES LUs (HSW) or PDH credits (one per attended seminar). Certifications of completion will also be awarded to engineers and non-member architects for their participation. PFA invites everyone to attend their seminar and stop by their booth for design manuals, the Post-Frame Handbook, CDs with the Post-Frame Advantage College Curriculum, and more.
