LAS VEGAS – Anton Cabinetry of Arlington, TX, was presented the “2009 Best of the WOOD 100” award at the AWFS Fair Friday night.

John Anton, who started his company in 1974, accepted the prestigious award from Wood & Wood Products Associate Publisher Rich Christianson during the AWFS Award Banquet.

Anton Cabinetry experienced an eviable sales jump 31 percent from 2007 to 2008; sales are poised to eclipse $15 million this year.

John Anton of Anton Cabinetry receives the Best of the Wood 100 Award from Rich Christianson, Associate Publisher of Wood & Wood Products.

Christianson noted that the staff of Wood &Wood Products selected Anton Cabinetry to receive the award for many reasons, including:

-- The diverse customer base for its custom millwork and casegoods, including hospitals, universities, churches, banks and movie theatres.
-- Holding contractor licenses in 18 states and having customer services that span design through final installation.
-- An investment in technology, including the recent addition of several key pieces of equipment -- a CNC nesting router, a dovetailer and a laser template machine.
-- A dedicated staff of skilled and professional woodworkers that allows the company to remain successful even in today’s weakened market.

Anton Cabinetry will be included in the 20th Annual WOOD 100 Report published in the August issue of Wood &Wood Products and posted on iswonline.com. A more in-depth profile will follow in September.

Wood & Wood Products launched the WOOD 100 in 1990 to pay tribute to fast-growing North American wood products companies.
