Project: Library Bookcases, Reception Desk and Plinth
Materials: Custom stained rift white oak veneer and solid lumber.
Construction: Since the existing millwork was manufactured using “old school” techniques; the company’s new manufacturing methods had to be adjusted to maintain the existing trims ascetic qualities. The reception desk is a compound radius and the shrine plinth is reinforced with steel bolted down through the deck to the floor below.
Project Notes: The plinth had to hold a one-of-a-kind ancient shrine, so it had to be structurally sound enough to hold-up once the shrine was hoisted on it.

Project Notes: Woodpecker harvested the trees used in this project, including sycamore, walnut, maple, oak, pine, cherry and basswood. Two walls on a tight inside radius were covered with walnut and maple inlay panels alternating in a specific pattern.
