Top Shelf Design Awards Deadline Extended: February 28The deadline for the 2014 Closets Top Shelf Design Awards has been extended until February 28. Enter now to win an engraved plaque and/or a certificate and recognition in Closets magazine as well as at the 2014 Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, to be held April 9-11 in Somerset, NJ.

Each year the awards are given to honor the best in home organization design. Enter your original designs at woodworkingnetwork.com/topshelf. Submission fee is $45.

Garage: under 600 square feet; Garage: over 600 square feet

Home Office: less than 150 square feet; Home Office: more than 150 square feet

Closet: Laminate less than 18 linear feet; Laminate more than 18 linear feet; Closet: Wood less than 18 linear feet; Closet: Wood more than 18 linear feet; Closet: Wire less than 18 linear feet; Closet: Wire more than 18 linear feet; Closet: Reach in

Past 2013 Top Shelf Design Award winners were named in March at the debut of the Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo, held in Edison, NJ.

The overall Top Shelf Design award went to DeVoe Martin of Affordable Closets Plus, Bangor, PA, for “Hidden Treasure Trove Dressing Room.”

The People’s Choice award went to Harold Locklear, Locklear Cabinet & Woodwork Inc., Rowland, NC, for “Mobile Showroom.”

Each category winner received a Top Shelf Design Award trophy commemorating their winning entry and Honorable Mention winners in each category received a certificate. All finalists also were featured in the Closets April 2013 print issue.
