ATLANTA - Arauco North America named five new appointments to its executive management committee.
"This is a formidable group," said Kelly Shotbolt, Arauco North America’s president. "I am confident that our strategic intent to grow the North American business will be achieved. We welcome, and look forward to realizing the corporate visions of our shareholders, leveraged by the experiences and leadership from this group, along with the individual talent and efforts from those within our entire organization."
Jake Elston was appointed vice president of corporate operations. Heading Flakeboard’s corporate operations group since 2012, Elston's group now will support the IT, human resources, logistics, purchasing, raw material procurement, environmental health, safety and sustainability; and government affairs functions for North America including strategic planning and execution.
Arauco North America also appointed Rob Henry chief financial officer. Henry was named CFO of Flakeboard in 2011, and promoted to CFO of Arauco Wood Products after Arauco's acquisition of Flakeboard in 2012.
In addition, Mike Rosso was named vice president of manufacturing. Rosso currently heads the manufacturing team responsible for the safe operation of nine composite panel plants in Oregon, Arkansas, South Carolina and North Carolina along with Canadian plants in New Brunswick and Ontario.
Kevin Shotbolt also was appointed vice president of sales and marketing. In 2006, when Flakeboard purchased the composite panel assets of Weyerhaeuser in the United States, Shotbolt integrated the sales and marketing functions of the six additional mills into the Flakeboard operation and expand the value-add strategy across the U.S. mills.
In addition, Russ Jordan was named vice president of sales and will head the North American business unit responsible for the sales and distribution of the product lines manufactured through Arauco's South American integrated operations. This business unit serves the moulding and millwork, plywood and lumber sectors.
