Thruway Hardwood Merges with D&M Plywood “The purpose of this partnership is very straightforward. We are now able to better serve our marketplace with expanded and more inclusive product lines and services,” says John Fontanese of D & M.

Both Thruway Hardwood and D & M say they have come to the table with extensive experience in the woodworking industry. D & M Plywood has been a building supply company servicing industrial, commercial and independent contractors with a complete line of plywoods and lumber, architectural paneling, laminates and specialty building products for over 45 years. Since its founding by John DiFiore in 1991, Thruway Hardwood has been supplying a large variety of architectural wood products, decorative surfacing and cabinet hardware to the Buffalo, Syracuse and surrounding Northeast area.

“In this market, longevity is not achieved through purely organic growth,” says DiFiore. “We welcome Paul Maher and John Fontanese of D & M and we are excited to combine the products, services and experience that our respective companies have been offering.”
