Michem Wood Release 2137 Helps Process Particleboard EfficientlyCINCINNATI, OH – Adding to its line of mold release agents for the wood composites industry, Michelman has introduced Michem Wood Release 2137, a mold release agent used in the production of particle board that uses pMDI as the adhesive.

Michem Wood Release 2137 produces a low COF interaction that allows wood to release cleanly from the press platen while producing a lighter colored board with little to no buildup. Users will benefit from a low application rate and little to no nasal irritation. The product is easily dilutable with water and is applied by spraying over the fiber mat.

Michem Wood Release 2137 also provides memory, but resists transfer from the wood fiber to the process, virtually eliminating process slip issues while increasing productivity. Michelman has designed the new product offering to help customers process pMDI particleboard more efficiently and cost-effectively.
