SPRINGFIELD, OR - Allyn Ford, CEO and President of Roseburg Forest Products, announced today that Grady Mulbery will assume the role of Roseburg’s President effective Jan. 1, 2016. Ford will continue in his role as CEO until Jan. 1, 2017, when he will retire. Upon Ford’s retirement, Mulbery will assume the joint role of CEO and President. Ford also announced he will continue on as Chairman of the Board for Roseburg after stepping out of the company’s top executive role.

ARTICLE SierraPine Sells Panel Mills To Roseburg, Timber Products SierraPine Ltd. will divest its two remaining composite panel mills to Roseburg Forest Products and Timber Products Co.

“I am pleased to say that we have selected an internal candidate to first step into the President’s role then move into the CEO role when I retire from that position,” Ford said. “Grady has demonstrated his readiness and willingness to lead our organization, and this not only provides a strong sense of security, but also one of continuity in pursuing our vision and living our values as a company.”

Mulbery joined Roseburg in early 2011 as Vice President of Composites Manufacturing and later became Vice President of Manufacturing. He has led Roseburg’s production operations since 2012. Prior to becoming part of Roseburg’s Executive Team, he was Director of Manufacturing for SierraPine.

Ford has been CEO/President of Roseburg Forest Products since 1997, after overseeing the company’s timberlands for several years. He succeeded his father, Kenneth Ford, who started the company in 1936. Since stepping into the role of CEO/President, Ford has led Roseburg through the difficult economic downturn of a few years ago toward significant growth.

“We persevered and survived that terrible recession because of our leadership and our people,” Ford said. “We’ve come out the other side stronger, with an increased commitment to growing within our industry while remaining a vital partner to the communities in which we operate. I’m extremely pleased that we found a new President who feels that same sense of energy and dedication to that growth.”
