Satisfied looks on the faces of exhibitors and visitors: ZOW in Bad Salzuflen/Germany once again proved to be an important work and ordering fair for the European furniture sector. Between 14 and 17 February 2011, the presence of 500 exhibitors from 30 countries worldwide brought roughly 15,000 visitors to East-Westphalia. About two thirds of all visitors came from Germany, while one third came from Europe and overseas. The ranking of foreign visitors is led by Poland, the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain & Ireland and France. Many supplier companies that did not exhibit at ZOW in 2011 came to the trade fair as visitors.

ZOW once again lived up to its reputation as the trend barometer and business event of the furniture industry and interior design. Great conversations and promising business were the characteristics of the supplier fair East-Westphalia, which is always an important indicator for the industry’s mood after imm cologne in January. Andreas Bielefeld, head of the product development department at Nobilia says: “For us, ZOW in Bad Salzuflen is one of the most important fairs. Both the date and the location are perfect, while the open, communicative atmosphere promotes business. The innovative potential of the European supplier industry remains unabated: Especially the creative design solutions of lighting providers and the manufacturers of fittings were on everyone’s lips.

The exhibition special “fabrics by ZOW” was a new feature, introducing many attractive ideas for furniture fabrics. With lightweight construction and lighting design, event organiser Clarion Survey also presented two important future topics for the sector. Thus, the visitors’ interest was correspondingly high. The next ZOW in Bad Salzuflen is going to run from 6 to 9 February 2012.
