Neumarkt – The Supervisory Board of Pfleiderer AG (ISIN DE 0006764749) has decided to appoint Hans-Joachim Ziems (57) as a new member of the company’s Executive Board with responsibility for restructuring with immediate effect. In this position, Mr. Ziems is the successor to Ernst Pelzer (52).

Hans-Joachim Ziems is a managing partner of Ziems & Partner Business Consultants in Cologne. The firm specializes in restructuring and was in
charge for example of the self-administration of the Kirch Media Group in Munich and of the restructuring of the Merckle Ratiopharm Group in Ulm.
New member of the Pfleiderer Supervisory Board
Pfleiderer AG has also announced the appointment of Alfred Hagebusch (62) as a new member of the Supervisory Board. He has been appointed
by the Nuremberg District Court with immediate effect. Mr. Hagebusch is the successor to Dr. Helmut Burmester, who stepped down from his position as of February 17, 2011.
Mr. Alfred Hagebusch is a partner of the Wellensiek firm of lawyers, which is specialized in the resolution of companies’ crisis-related issues. Mr. Hagebusch’s main areas of activity include corporate law, crisis and turnaround consulting, restructuring concepts, M&A in the crisis, and
above all, advising management and shareholders on the execution of restructuring. Mr. Hagebusch has more than 30 years of experience in corporate business consulting, in particular in the field of turnarounds and restructuring. His legal expertise is supplemented by his comprehensive knowledge of business administration.
