Temple, TX – Wilsonart International got the opportunity to share in an uplifting makeover series that aims to transform America’s educational system one school at a time, by giving the students a school they are proud to attend. The new NBC show “School Pride” chose seven schools across the country in need of assistance and provided much-needed makeovers to key areas.

For one episode of the series, which premieres Friday, October 15th at 8/7p Central, NBC’s “School Pride” renovates Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies (LACES) in Los Angeles, Calf. See first-hand how Wilsonart® Laminate and Wilsonart® Solid Surface products were used in the school’s culinary arts classroom.

“Wilsonart is honored to team up with NBC and assist communities in need,” said Kathy Calhoun, marketing communications manager for Wilsonart. “The entire Wilsonart organization really stepped up to this unique opportunity. From sales and marketing, through customer service, manufacturing and even our distributor and fabricator customers, everyone pitched in to get installations done in record time.”

“While transforming the school, the community also restores its sense of value and school pride,” noted Richard Conde, Wilsonart product manager. “I was fortunate to witness the hard work and enthusiasm displayed at LACES during the renovation process. It’s amazing to see the end result. Everyone at Wilsonart is anxiously awaiting the big reveal!”

Be sure to tune in each Friday this fall for more amazing school transformations across the country.
