Stiles Machinery Inc. is pleased to announce that its manufacturing partner, Weeke Maschinenbau, is moving forward with plans to produce their ABD drilling and dowel insertion machines at their Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing facility, Weeke North America. The Weeke ABD 050 machine will be available for delivery to U.S. customers later this year. These machines will be produced in addition to the Weeke Vantech series of CNC routers that have been in production at the company’s facility since its inception in 2009.

“We are excited about manufacturing more Weeke machines here in Grand Rapids,” stated Stephan Waltman, Vice President for Stiles. “This is good news for our customers because their lead times will be significantly reduced, and it continues to be great news for the West Michigan economy.”

The new ABD 050 drill/dowel machine is a logical growth avenue for Weeke North America, as drill and dowel insertion compliments the company’s current nested based router offering. The ABD 050 machine has been engineered by Weeke for the U.S. market and represents an exceptional value in the marketplace.
The addition of another product line to Weeke North America is attributed to the successful launch and sustained results of Weeke’s venture into U.S. manufacturing. This development encourages the future of manufacturing additional Weeke machines in the U.S., said Tobais Schiable, Managing Director of Weeke, admitting that “Weeke is open to expanding additional lines in North America.”
