Simonton Windows relocates corporate headquarters

PARKERSBURG, WV – Simonton Windows®, one of the nation’s leading vinyl window and patio door manufacturers, has finalized plans to relocate the company’s corporate office to Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio. The transition is set to be complete in June 2011. The company is part of the Home and Security business of Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE: FO).

“We’re extremely pleased to announce the new location of our corporate office,” says Mark Savan, president of Simonton Windows. “This move fully supports our vision of becoming a more consumer-oriented company. The state of Ohio and the city of Columbus have been extremely supportive of our move. We hope to move into the new space in June.”

Located at 3948 Townsfair Way, Simonton’s new corporate office space is on the second floor above retail outlets in the prestigious Easton Town Center complex. “This location has exactly what we were seeking,” says Savan. “It has excellent accessibility for our customers and vendors, numerous amenities for our employees and a consumer-products orientation.”

Savan also notes that the new space will include a product showroom and comfortably host customer and vendor meetings. “This is a dynamic setting and we’re looking forward to becoming an integral part of the greater Columbus community,” says Savan.

“I want to welcome everybody with Simonton Windows to our community and thank them for investing their future in the City of Columbus,” said Mayor Michael B. Coleman. “A quality business like Simonton will contribute to our economy as well as our quality of life.”

Approximately 80 Simonton associates will work in Simonton’snew Easton Town Center office location. Several departments will remain at the former corporate office located in Parkersburg, W. Va.

“We applaud Simonton’s decision to make Ohio its home, bringing yet another corporate headquarters to the Buckeye State,” said Mark D. Kvamme, director of the Ohio Department of Development. “This public-private investment strengthens Ohio’s business portfolio, while putting more than 80 Ohioans to work.”

“Since our initial decision to move our corporate functional areas to Columbus, we’ve been searching for the best possible space,” says Savan. “We believe our new home in the city of Columbus and the Easton Town Center positions us well for long-term growth.Columbus provides us with greater accessibility to our national customer base and suppliers, and is more centrally located between our manufacturing facilities in West Virginia, Illinois, Oklahoma and California. At the same time, we’re pleased to maintain our deep roots in West Virginia and our strong commitment to that state’s excellent workforce.”

Simonton plans to retain its current Briscoe Road location in Parkersburg as home to functions including customer service, marketing services and information technology. The corporate office move to Columbus will have no impact on the manufacturing facilities located in California, Illinois, Oklahoma and West Virginia.

Easton has over three million square feet of office space plus dining, retail, entertainment and hotel facilities.
