Sherwin-Williams Opens Fifth Furniture Paint Plant In China
The Sherwin-Williams Company, one of the world’s three largest paint companies with more than 30,000 employees across 3000 worldwide locations, has opened its fifth plant in China, a new 215,278 sq. ft. plant in Zhaoqing, Guangdong, as well as a new blending facility in Langfang in north China.

“The Zhaoqing plant expands our ability to serve the growing furniture industry in South China and the Pearl River Delta,” said Andy Maguire, vice president and general manager of Sherwin-Williams Chemical Coatings Asia Pacific, “allowing our sales network to cover most large and medium-sized cities in China.”

Sherwin-Williams set up its first office in China in 2000 and in 2002 built its first coatings factory in Jiading, Shanghai, in east China. Later, it created distribution facilities in Dongguan and Langfang. The company now coatings factories and blending facilities in China, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Singapore, and research and development centers in China, Vietnam and Malaysia.
