RADTECH MOVES uv.eb WEST 2011 TO SILICON VALLEY

Bethesda, MD  -- RadTech, the assocation for ultraviolet (UV) and electron beam (EB) technology, announces a move to Silicon Valley for its 4th  bi-annual uv.eb West Conference, March 8-9, 2011.  The new venue in Santa Clara, CA, will leverage the depth of high tech industries that may benefit from ultraviolet (UV) an electron beam (EB) processing advantages.

The 2011 event targets enabling solutions for next generation sustainable manufacturing processes including photovoltaics, flexible displays, electronics, smart materials, energy storage, printing and
converting, ink jet, and mobile/field applied applications.  New in 2011 will be a UV/EB Knowledge Colloquium, featuring a short course on the basics of the technology.  In addition to the conference
offerings, there will be opportunities to exhibit, network, and participate in technology working groups.

Kay Mascoli, a San Jose based industry professional is joining the RadTech team for uv.eb West, offering a diverse background in high tech marketing, event planning and new business development.
Mascoli's most recent work has been in the printed electronics industry, where she managed the annual international business and technical conference for the FlexTech Alliance, as well as developed a
new series of regional workshops to address critical product development needs for the industry.  Kay also worked extensively in the semiconductor equipment industry, both in the corporate sector and
for the industry's major trade association, SEMI, and she played a key role in implementing major product launches at Apple Computer and Biosys.

UV and EB offer a high value, rapid throughput process for inks, coatings, adhesives, and composites, which virtually eliminates emissions and lowers energy consumption compared with traditional methods. The technology provides a safe, fast, efficient process, and, as a result, the industry has been growing at over twice the rate of traditional methods over the last several years.

RadTech International North America is the non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of ultraviolet and electron beam technologies. RadTech serves as an industry forum, addressing the
educational needs of users and suppliers of UV and EB equipment and materials.
