Nickell Moulding Company is proud to announce that it has been awarded membership in the Indiana State Environmental Stewardship Program. (ESP) Nickell Moulding is the 51st. Hoosier Company to receive this prestigious honor. Nickell Moulding now joins an elite ecological fraternity with major Indiana manufactures like Eli Lilly, Toyota and Subaru.

Representatives from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) were on hand this December to present Nickell Moulding Company with a plaque and flag to mark Nickell’s environmental achievement. IDEM encourages Indiana regulated entities to be proactive in managing their environmental responsibilities and commit to continuous environmental improvement. Nickell, having demonstrated these long-term compliances and continuous environmental improvements has been accepted into the ESP. ESP members go beyond requirements that protect the environment say IDEM Commissioner Thomas Easterly. “Indiana wins when companies like Nickell use sound business practices to demonstrate their core value of environmental protection.”

Already noted as a clean facility and having been honored with many other environmental awards previously, Nickell continues to push forward as an industry leader with this latest State honor. The factory has reduced the amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) it was emitting into the air by over half (10+ tons). These measurements have been adjusted for any productions slowdowns due by the economy. Nickell, for being a member of ESP, gets various incentives from IDEM for going above and beyond the Government’s environmental codes. Nickell Moulding will continue to be a good steward to the environment, a responsible US manufacturer and provide a safe and sustainable product to their customers well into the future.
