Burlington, NJ– The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) has re-classified FreeAxez, the premier low profile, fixed-height access flooring system, with the new MasterFormat specification title and number designated specifically for low profile fixed height access flooring systems.
This re-classification highlights the differentiation of low profile systems, like FreeAxez, from traditional post and panel raised computer room floors. The original design intent of the traditional data center floor was to provide under floor air distribution for cooling very large mainframe computers back in the early 1960’s. FreeAxez is intended specifically for wire management and offers a 1.6” or 2.75” high, all-steel, fully modular, access floor system that can be easily installed without glues, screws, or fasteners.
