NAFCD and NBMDA launch Distributor Marketplace
Chicago -- The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD) and North American Building Material Distribution Association (NBMDA) have united to present the inaugural NAFCD & NBMDA Distributor Marketplace, taking place November 16-18, 2010 at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, CO. This new and improved event for distributors and manufacturers within the floor covering, specialty building material and woodworking distribution channels combines the best of both association legacy events to provide distribution channel leaders with more thoughtful sessions on the trends shaping our industry, larger audiences and new opportunities to meaningfully connect with other industry leaders. The result is more information and more contacts that attendees can translate into more business.

"With the economy and housing market starting to recover from its downturn, NAFCD and NBMDA decided this was the ideal time to join forces and introduce a new event," said Kevin Gammonley, Executive Vice President, NBMDA. "Bringing the industries together within one event provides our attendees a unified way to discuss shared challenges and opportunities, which will ensure their competitiveness in the years ahead."

"NAFCD is pleased to co-locate with NBMDA this year, as it provides the opportunity and venue to network and discuss challenges and solutions with the greater distributor community. Co-locating also enables NAFCD and NBMDA to present a higher caliber of speakers, who will help attendees navigate through the remainder of 2010," said Michelle Miller, Executive Vice President, NAFCD.

Event highlights include:
* Distributor Marketplace, where leading manufacturers and service providers to the floor covering, specialty building material and woodworking distribution channels will be on-hand to showcase their products and discuss their distribution programs.
* Manufacturer-hosted Distributor Meetings, where manufacturers will have the opportunity to host private meetings/functions with distributors in the days preceding the Distributor Marketplace.
* General Sessions, where thought-provoking keynotes will speak on a variety of hot-topics, including pricing strategies for distributors, managing a rising business cycle and developing a strategic vision for upcoming megatrends.
* Roundtable Discussion Sessions, where distributors will expand their network of peers and learn about best practices and success stories from within the distributor community.
