MILWAUKEE, WI - KL Communications is pleased to announce that the 5th Annual Milwaukee Fine Furnishings & Fine Craft Show will be held October 1-3, 2010 in The Garage at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. If you have weekend plans, want to hit the show on the way home from work or just want first dibs on cash and carry items, the doors now open on Friday night from 4pm – 8pm.

The show features handcrafted furniture, furnishings, fine art and crafts for sale, order or commission from approximately 75 exhibitors from across North America. While almost half of the exhibitors are talented Wisconsin residents, the show also features exceptional artisans from Illinois, Michigan, California, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Utah and Vermont.

Members of the Chicago Furniture Designers Association (CFDA) will once again add to the excitement of the 2010 show. This year (16) CFDA members are participating as part of a 400-sq.-ft. collaborative booth exhibition – nine are returning from last year and seven are new to the show. In addition, (3) CFDA exhibitors from the 2009 show will have their own booths, including S. Lloyd Natof (Frank Lloyd Wright’s great grandson).

Other exhibitor highlights include Nancy Kennedy – a rug maker from California, Michael Wilson - a furniture maker from Texas, Salt Lake Forge from Utah, and two exceptional glass art exhibitions from Griffin Glass and Eggert Glass.

The show also welcomes the return of Sawbridge Studios - the country’s most comprehensive retail store for handcrafted American furniture and accessories, based in downtown Chicago.

Traditional, modern and everything in between, attendees will find products in numerous styles made from a variety of materials - from ‘Green to Greene + Greene.’ Exhibitors will educate visitors on resources such as urban wood, recycled materials and live edge products; they will tell the unique story behind the design and the journey of the materials used to bring each design alive. In addition, they will learn how craftsmen master different styles of architecture and furniture such as Gallenberg Studios portfolio of ‘Greene + Greene’ work.

The 2010 show offers attendees a second look at over 80% of last year’s exhibitors as well as a number of new talented artisans. The show includes 10-15% more exhibitors due to booth sharing and some creative new display space along the exterior walls of The Garage.

While the furniture and craftsmen have the capabilities to create custom pieces specifically tailored to the unique homes of any attendee, many of the exhibitors offer numerous cash & carry items great for gift giving and the approaching holiday season!

Additional amenities on site during the show include the Harley-Davison Museum, Café Racer (serving breakfast & lunch), Motor (a restaurant and bar serving lunch and dinner), and free parking for cars and motorcycles. The Harley-Davidson Museum is located at the crossroads of 6th and Canal Streets.
