Merillat adds Curtis Stone Kitchen collection
Ann Arbor, MI -- Merillat® cabinets is expanding its 3-D model collection for the Google SketchUp™ 3D Warehouse to include a kitchen originally designed for celebrity chef and Merillat spokesperson Curtis Stone.

Over the past year, architects and other Google SketchUp users have downloaded more than 4,700 Merillat cabinet models from the 3D Warehouse. Merillat is adding more models to the collection to continue to support architects and design professionals.

“The number of architects using 3-D models during the design process has grown considerably over the past few years and our Merillat cabinet and kitchen models are following suit,” said Mark Johnson, FAIA, CKD, AIBD, director of architect relations and education at Merillat. “We’re continually adding new 3-D cabinet models to the 3D Warehouse. And, our 3-D kitchen models, such as our “Curtis Stone kitchen,” offer architects and clients a source of inspiration.”
The Curtis Stone kitchen model also features 3-D countertop models featuring the DeNova™ brand, just like those installed in the real kitchen.

Google SketchUp was developed to provide quick 3-D forms for conceptual stages of design, including a repository of 3-D objects that accelerate the design process, called the Google 3D Warehouse. SketchUp models can be converted into all major CAD products without having to draw designs twice.
