Makita joins LeDuc Racing for fourth season

La Mirada, CA -- Makita Industrial Power Tools and LeDuc Racing have agreed to a fourth straight year of partnership in short course off road racing. Makita joins Rockstar Energy as primary cosponsors of Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing.

Curt LeDuc and his sons Kyle and Todd are fan favorites in short course off road racing for both their frequent wins and their hands-on approach to off road racing.

“The LeDucs build their own trucks, drive their own rig to the races, and then they race their 900 horsepower trucks against the toughest competition in off road racing,” said Brent Withey, Director of Marketing, Makita. “And they usually end up on the podium. It’s no wonder that the LeDucs are fan favorites.”

This weekend, the 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) opens at Firebird Raceway in Phoenix, AZ. Rockstar Makita LeDuc Racing is at full strength and looking forward to carrying the winning momentum and partnership into 2011.
• Curt LeDuc: After finishing sixth in points last season in the Pro 4 class, Curt returns to the Pro 4 class in 2011 with his #43 Makita Truxx Race Truck.
• Kyle LeDuc: Kyle, former champion in the Pro Lite class, finished in second place in the 2010 Pro 4 class. Kyle returns to the Pro Lite and Pro 4 classes with his #99 Rockstar Makita LeDuc Race Truck.
• Todd LeDuc: Todd finished in sixth place in the 2010 Pro 2 class, and is moving up to the Pro 4 class in 2011 in his new #4 Rockstar Makita LeDuc Race Truck.

“To have Makita on board for a fourth straight year means a lot to us,” said Curt LeDuc. “Makita’s quality, commitment and leadership in the power tool industry also extends to off-road racing, so their active participation is great for our sport. This partnership is also great for us, as Makita tools are in constant use in our garage and in the pits on race day.”

Makita’s Accelerated Presence in Live Racing and Action Sports

Makita is also the Official Power Tool for Metal Mulisha’s Brian Deegan, the 12-time XGames medalist and full-time action sports icon who competes in off road, rally car, and freestyle motocross.
