Ponderosa Building Materials Software today announced that the
Lumbermens Merchandising Corporation (LMC), the largest dealer-owned
lumber building materials buying group in the U.S., has named Ponderosa
Software an Approved Supplier.

Ponderosa is an integrated,
end-to-end business management solution that helps building materials
manufacturers and distributors improve efficiency, reduce operating
costs and maximize customer service.

Ponderosa will showcase the
software at the LMC’s 75th Annual Meeting (Booth #1442), March 3-6, in
Salt Lake City.

The LMC boasts 350 financially strong
stockholder lumber retailers operating more than 1200 member locations
across 48 states plus the Bahamas and representing over 13 Billion in
sales annually. Members of LMC are recognized as ‘Building On Service’
Dealers, an exclusive network of independent lumberyard companies who
own LMC and pool their buying resources to increase purchasing power and
get volume discounts from vendors.

“We are very proud to have
been selected by the LMC as an Approved Supplier of business software,”
said Pat Gannon, vice president of sales for Ponderosa. “We look forward
to getting to know our new colleagues in the LMC and providing them
with technology solutions that can help lower their operating costs and
software support fees.”

Peter Humphrey, owner of North Atlantic
Corp. and a member of the LMC for more than forty years said, “While the
Ponderosa software has certainly evolved over the years, the team at
Ponderosa has consistently gone above and beyond our expectations,
delivering the timely solutions and services we need to stay
competitive,” Humphrey added.

“Because of their unwavering
commitment and support, we’ve deployed the Ponderosa software across
each of our corporate locations throughout New England, as well as
Savannah, GA and Ft. Meyers, FL to help us drive sales, reduce operating
costs and consolidate business information. Truly, Ponderosa’s staff
has become an extension of my business,” Humphrey said.

“We are a
company that takes pride in our approach to customer relationships,”
commented Jim McCooey, president of Ponderosa. “The Ponderosa software
represents the most contemporary building materials technology available
and we have not raised our support fees in the past five years. The
enduring partnerships we’ve built in the building materials industry
speak for themselves, and we look forward to developing many new
relationships with the fine businesses in the LMC.“
