Lowe’s honors Cardinal Logistics Management
Concord, NC -- Lowe’s, one of the nation’s leading home improvement retailers, recently recognized Cardinal Logistics Management for outstanding service as one of its transportation partners. Cardinal was recognized by Lowe’s with two awards for excellent dedicated service for Regional Distribution Centers in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Lowe’s named Cardinal as its 2009 Outbound Carrier of the Year for the second consecutive year. Cardinal also received Lowe’s Double Platinum Service Award for consistently providing the highest level of delivered service. The Double Platinum Award represents service in excess of 99.8% on both inbound and outbound activity. Most notable is the Cardinal team in North Vernon, Ind., for performing at 100% on-time service in 2009.

Cardinal’s combined operations for Lowe’s in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania handled more than 23,000 outbound loads and 9,000 inbound loads during 2009. Cardinal also developed a continuous moves operation that runs in a DC to DC format with inbound and outbound RDC product throughout the Midwest.
