Kimball Office partners with furniture refurbishing organization
JASPER, IN — For more than 40 years, Kimball(R) Office has aligned with various suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers to produce sustainable contract office furniture. Now the company is partnering with Asset Network for Education Worldwide (ANEW) to extend the life cycle of its furnishings by donating used products to underserved organizations. ANEW is a nonprofit organization dedicated to organizing the repurposing of surplus furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).

“We’re excited to know our products will receive a second home, and help other communities with their office needs. This new relationship helps us achieve our goals of waste reduction, landfill diversion, and life cycle extension,” said Steven Brewster, Director of Sustainability for Kimball Office.

ANEW manages all logistics related to FF&E extraction and maximizes opportunities for repurpose, resale, reuse, and recycling of products. Kimball Office and ANEW will work together to determine the recipient(s) of donations, which commonly include schools, public charities and agencies, nonprofits, and communities. “ANEW removes the guesswork from the repurposing process, in a timely, cost effective, and comprehensive program,” added Brewster.
