Kimball Office receives environmental awards
JASPER, Ind. — Kimball(R) Office’s manufacturing facilities in Post Falls, Idaho and Jasper, Ind., are being recognized for implementing exceptional environmental strategies that strive to eliminate or minimize pollutants before they are generated.

“For 40 years, Kimball Office has designed and produced office furnishings that keep the environment in mind. We are honored to receive recognition from the governors of Idaho and Indiana for our sustainable business practices, and the positive impact our company plays on the environment, employees, and local communities,” said Steven Brewster, Director of Sustainability for Kimball Office.

The Post Falls plant, which manufactures Kimball Office’s systems furniture and metal components, was awarded as a “Pollution Prevention Champion” by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, on Sept. 13. A few days later, on Sept. 15, the company’s Jasper facility, received the “Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence in Pollution Prevention”. The award is supported by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, the Lieutenant Governor’s Office of Energy and Defense Development, Indiana Department of Administration, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

“Protecting the environment has been a keystone in Kimball Office’s business and manufacturing practices since it was founded. As we celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary, we are excited to be recognized for our environmental efforts, which could not have been successful without the ideas, direction, and enthusiasm of our employees,” said Jeff Fenwick, Vice President and General Manager for Kimball Office.
